Our Mission
The mission of Marysville Volunteer Fire
Company is to provided effective and efficient fire and life safety protection
to the residence of Marysville Borough and Rye Township through control of
hostile fires, fire prevention services, emergency medical services, emergency
preparedness, and mitigation of hazardous material incidents.
History
The Marysville Fire Company
was started in 1908. Before
that the Borough had Fire
Protection from the
Railroad. Marysville Fire
Company is one of the oldest
fire company in Perry
County. On Oct, 5 1908 36
men signed as charter
members to form the
Marysville Fire Company. The
fire company started with a
10 year old hose cart,
leather helmets and buckets.
For the Hose cart we still
own the original cart and it
is at the station.
